(a) Failure of Parents, Guardians, or Custodians to Comply With Duty to Assure School Attendance. The intentional failure of any parent, guardian, or custodian of a child to assure the school attendance of such child is a Class D offense. Any person guilty of failing to assure school attendance may be prosecuted and punished as provided in LVPTC Titles 4 and 5.

(b) Inducing Truancy. Intentional or knowing action by any person to induce a child to be a truant is a Class D offense. Any person guilty of failing to assure school attendance may be prosecuted and punished as provided in LVPTC Titles 4 and 5. [Prior Code § 10-110-070.]
